Regardless of whether the hardship is temporary or ongoing, low-income students in financial difficulty may be eligible for a scholarship if they meet the established criteria.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243;]<div class=\"toggle\"><div class=\"toggle-title \"><i class='fa fa-caret-left'><\/i>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/div><div class=\"toggle-inner\"><p>An applicant is eligible for the Caisse Desjardins du R\u00e9seau municipal\u2019s financial assistance fund if they are a student at the Institut de la protection contre les incendies du Qu\u00e9bec (IPIQ) who meets the following basic conditions :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be enrolled full-time in an IPIQ vocational program at the time of application submission and be on track to successfully complete their studies;<\/li>\n<li>Be experiencing financial hardship that requires one-time financial assistance during the school year to help them complete their academic program at IPIQ. The following criteria will also be considered when awarding financial assistance:\n<ul>\n<li>Employment situation<\/li>\n<li>Family situation<\/li>\n<li>Parents\u2019 or household income<\/li>\n<li>Number of dependents<\/li>\n<li>Geographic distance and housing costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"toggle\"><div class=\"toggle-title \"><i class='fa fa-caret-left'><\/i>HOW TO APPLY<\/div><div class=\"toggle-inner\"><p>To submit an application, the student must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be a resident of Quebec.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the Caisse\u2019s website at <a href=\"https:\/\/desjardinsmunicipal.com\/en\/financial-aid\/\">www.desjardinsmunicipal.com\/aide-financiere<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>Complete all fields of the application form.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain a recommendation from their tutor and a member of the IPIQ administration.<\/li>\n<li>Provide the required supporting documents, including proof of enrollment and the most recent transcript.<\/li>\n<li>Commit to meeting with a personal finance advisor at the Caisse to complete a budget planning session. The selection committee is composed of Caisse board members, the Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the communications team.
