Student firefighter loan

The Caisse Desjardins du Réseau municipal has partnered with the Académie des pompiers de Mirabel to make financing more accessible for firefighter students.

We are here to walk you through every step of the financial aid process. Our customized loan helps cover tuition, uniform, and gear costs, with disbursements made directly to the institution so you can focus on what matters most.

Eligible student profile

  • Student must be enrolled in a full-time private fire safety technology program requiring a loan to cover tuition fees.
  • Student must be 18 or older, or have an adult co-applicant acting as guarantor.
  • Student must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Quebec.

Eligibility—During studies

  • Student loan of up to $25,000 to cover tuition fees, paid directly to the school. Subject to credit approval.
  • Interest-only payments on the borrowed principal during full-time studies

Eligibility—Post-studies

  • Repayment possible at any time during studies, with no penalty
  • First principal payment deferral available for up to 24 months after completion of studies
  • Available terms: up to 10 years for students
