Selling your property to self-build
As a borrower, if you qualify to carry both your existing mortgage and the projected mortgage for your new build, we can open your file and move forward with the construction.
If carrying two mortgages at once is not an option and you need to purchase land, there is a workable solution. We will disburse the land purchase amount once we have confirmation that your property is on the market and that you have the financial capacity to handle payments on your current property alongside the land financing. Construction can get underway upon presentation of the accepted purchase offer for your home and mortgage approval from your buyers, even before the sale is notarized.*
