AGA 2025 Recap—$2,213,539 in dividends

EN SAVOIR PLUS

Our annual general meeting was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening was a warm and enjoyable one, and we were glad to reconnect with our members and municipal sector partners. We thank them for joining us!

In the 4 days following the AGM, our members cast their votes on the distribution of annual surplus earnings and the election of board members. On Monday, April 28, our scrutineers counted the ballots, and we are happy to share the results.

Dividend payment

This section contains the approved proposal versement for dividend distribution for 2024..

The surplus distribution proposal was approved, and we are excited to announce that $2,213,539 will be returned to members of the Caisse Desjardins du Réseau municipal and the community, through member dividends and the Community Development Fund (CDF).

  • $1,920,006 will be paid out as individual dividends..
  • $293,533 will be paid out as community dividends via our Community Development Fund. This will allow the Caisse to continue supporting meaningful projects that have a direct impact on municipal employees.

Your group caisse’s strong performance is what makes it all possible, allowing us to keep delivering on our mission and commitments. Your trust means the world to us, and we are truly grateful.

Board member election

This year, we also had 5 seats to fill on our board of directors. We are happy to announce the newly elected members:

  • Jean-Denis Séguin, Blue Collar Representative
  • Simon Lalanne Camirand, Firefighter Representative
  • Richard Prud’homme, Firefighter Representative
  • Jean-François Allard, Firefighter Representative
  • Michel Guay, Firefighter Representative

Congratulations! As a cooperative, our board of directors is responsible for setting the overall direction of our group caisse and ensuring it continues to serve the needs of its members. Their role is invaluable, and we are proud to have their support.

All about dividends

Individual members have access to a personalized breakdown showing how much they received in Product Dividends and Volume Dividends. Select My Dividends in AccèsD to view these details.

What are dividends?

This is what being a cooperative is all about, and it is one of the real perks of being a caisse member. In plain terms, a dividend is a sum of money you can receive every year, as long as certain conditions are met. . This money is returned to our individual and business members out of the surplus earnings generated by your caisse and the Desjardins Group at the end of the year. Part of these surplus earnings also go into a fund that gives back to local communities.
